The new transaction is in accordance with the company's strategy to rejuvenate its fleet by acquiring younger and bigger vessels, Precious explained. The seller of the vessel is a company incorporated in India.
Precious added that the acquisition will be funded by internal cash reserves and/or debt financing from credit facilities presently available to the company.
After the acquisition of Good Princess, Precious' fleet will consist of 28 vessels with an aggregate capacity of about 798,333 dwt.
