STX OSV bags platform supply vessels from Farstad

Singapore: Newly Singapore-listed STX OSV has bagged four platform supply vessels to be built for Farstad Shipping. The four vessels have been contracted at a total of NOK1.3bn and two will be built in Vietnam and two in Norway. They are due for delivery in 2012 and 2013. We have had a long-standing relationship with Farstad Shipping, with approximately 30 vessels delivered over the last 20 years. We are very pleased that Farstad again chose our global operations for their newbuilding program, and we look forward to continuing the good relationship with Farstad," said Roy Reite, executive director and ceo of STX OSV.
