Swiber subsidiary Newcruz Shipbuilding & Engineering has secured the lease till 2021 from Jurong Town Corporation.
The Singapore-listed company said the 3.6 hectare piece of land with 220 m of waterfront was next to its existing yard and would be a form a comprehensive marine support base for its offshore construction activities.
“This additional lease secured by Newcruz will provide the necessary infrastructure to meet the increased demands for in‐house auxiliary shipyard services; achieving seamless vertical integration for the group and creating the competitive advantage for Swiber in the offshore oil and gas industry,” said Francis Wong, ceo and president of Swiber.
