The Dubai-based subsidiary of Swire Pacific Offshore along IEMS will tier 2/3 emergency response services with the rental of pre-packaged oil spill response equipment, retainer services during drilling and production and consultancy services.
Under the partnership the two companies plan to set-up an Oil Spill Response Centre in South Africa by the end of this year.
“This partnership will allow both companies to leverage on each other’s expertise and provide a broader range of highly sophisticated, prompt and reliable emergency response services to the offshore oil and gas industry,” said Eric Kraan, general manager of emergency response service for Swire Pacific Offshore Operations.
“With the combined strengths and experience of both companies, we are confident that we will be able to provide prompt and high standards of response capabilities to manage oil spill incidents across the globe.”
