The two-year contracts were given to Swissco by a UAE oil and gas company operating in West Africa and the contracts come with three optional extensions of one year each.
Meanwhile, Swissco also clinched immediate short term contracts for two of its newly delivered offshore support vessels.
Both the AHTS vessel and the multi-purpose workboat with DP1 capabilities have already been mobilised to the work sites.
Alex Yeo, ceo of Swissco, believed that demand for the company's vessels remains healthy. “We believe that chartering side will continue to see strong demand and with that background, we are focused on our vessel expansion and fleet renewal program to enhance our fleet capabilities,” Yeo said.
Singapore-listed Swissco currently has a fleet of 33 offshore vessels and eight are under construction. The ships range from AHTS vessels, barges, accommodation barges, utility vessels and crew boats.
