Tianjin Port says operations are back to normal after huge explosions
Tianjin Port Holdings has informed that its port operations are running as per normal following the huge explosions that rocked the port city on the night of 12 August.

Shanghai-listed Tianjin Port said in a regulatory filing that while the operations are ongoing, the company continues to evaluate possible damages caused by the tragic accident.

The company also pointed out that the explosions occurred at the warehouse owned by Tianjin Ruihai Logistics Company, located in Tianjin Port Logistics Centre.

The warehouse was used to store dangerous and chemical goods, the company said.

Executives from Ruihai Logistics were held and questioned by the authorities, according to local media reports.

The death toll from the massive blast has risen to 44 and more than 500 are injured, reports said.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong-listed Tianjin Port Development Holdings has halted its share trading on Thursday “pending the release of an inside information announcement in relation to the explosion in Tianjin.”
