The vessel, built at a cost of NOK800m ($131.58m), is slated for delivery in the third quarter of 2015.
The OSCV will be equipped with two offshore cranes, of which the larger one has a lifting capacity of 250 tonnes, according to Vard.
“With this newbuilding, Vard has two equal vessels under construction for Farstad Shipping, as a part of Farstad's fleet development within the subsea market,” Vard said.
