Wisdom Marine said it is paying $28.5m each for two of the bulkers and $29m for a third unit.
The delivery dates for the newbuildings were not specified.
Wisdom Marine has a plan to grow its fleet to between 100 and 120 vessels this year, and it has around 30 newbuildings on order mainly at Japanese yards.
