Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has ordered a total of six newbuilds from two shipyards of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).

The company singed contract with CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding for the construction of four ammonia-ready 210,000 dwt bulk carriers with delivery in 2027.

Measuring in 300 metres long and 50 metres wide, the vessels will be able to use ammonia-powered engines to achieve zero-carbon operation.

Additionally, EPS ordered two 110,000dwt LNG-fuelled oil tankers from CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International which have a length of 250 meters and a width of 44 meters.

These are pivotal for EPS, testament to our continued commitment towards the decarbonisation of shipping, commented EPS.
