The acquisition includes all the IPRs to Kymdata’s CAD software and business agreements, expanding Cadmatic’s portfolio.
Cadmatic said that Kymdata’s CADS would be an “excellent complement” portfolio of structural and mechanical design and information management for ships and process plants in the global market.
"Kymdata is a well-run, profitable and growing company. I am very pleased that we have acquired the company and its products,” said Jukka Rantala, ceo of Cadmatic.
“It expands our product portfolio and position in our core business area, while providing us with excellent opportunities for future growth. The strong position of CADS products in their business areas demonstrates the competitiveness of the products.”
The acquisition will see 43 employees from Kymdata joining Cadmatic to take its work force to over 200, and increase its turnover to an estimated EUR28m.
