CSSC Marine Power has inked a contract with Yangzijiang Shipbuilding to provide up to 10 dual-fuel main engines.

The contract, which comprises of two plus eight WinGD9X92DF engines, will be used for the 14,000-teu dual-fuel container vessels to be built by Yangzijiang.

The engines will be designed by CSSC Marine Power’s subsidiary WinGD and built by CSSC-MES Diesel.

The two-stroke, dual-fuel engines are designed to provide the best possible propulsion efficiency for modern ultra large container vessels. The system has a competitive initial investment and fulfills Tier III emission requirements without any external exhaust gas after treatment system.

The container vessels will be delivered to Greathorse, a subsidiary of Tiger Group Investment.
