Hengli Shipbuilding (Dalian) confirmed the deal for the construction of four 82,000dwt bulk carriers and four 180,000dwt bulk carriers, marking the shipyard has officially entered into large-size bulk carriers construction market.
The identity of the European owner was not disclosed.
Since commercial operation started at the beginning of this year, Hengli shipyard had successfully signed nearly 30 newbuildings construction contracts within four months, covering major ship types of bulk carrier and containership.
