China’s Wison Offshore & Marine has announced the official commencement of the Arctic LNG 2 Project at its Zhoushan yard.

The Arctic LNG 2 project is undertaken by Novatek in the Russian Arctic region. The project includes the construction of three LNG trains, with a capacity of 6.6 mtpa of LNG each. The total LNG capacity of the three trains will be 19.8 mtpa.

Wison is responsible for engineering, procurement, fabrication and commissioning of modules in train one.

The module fabrication contract was awarded by Technip France, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TechnipFMC.

“Wison Offshore & Marine is committed to delivering innovative monetisation solutions across LNG value chain and high-quality onshore and offshore module construction services for the global energy industry, and providing customers with integrated EPCIC and operation services that meet the highest international quality and safety standards,” said An Wenxin , coo of Wison.

Wison currently has two yards in Nantong and Zhoushan, which is capable to provide cost-effective solutions for mega-module projects.
