Perea joins from fiduciary services provider Amicorp, with nearly 25 years’ experience in business development and operations in the financial and corporate services sector, including a particular focus on wealth management, as well as trust and corporate and fiduciary services.
According to LISCR ceo Scott Bergeron, Perea’s main objectives will be “to help explore new markets - and possibly new services - for our corporate registry division” as well as to help in the “continued development of value-added relationships with the maritime, legal and finance communities.”
Meanwhile, LISCR continues to host a series of events around the globe to celebrate this year’s 70th anniversary of the Liberian Registry, a birthday-cum-Christmas event taking place in London on Thursday.
The Liberian Registry is claimed to have been the world’s fastest growing flag in first-half 2018, with currently more than 4,200 oceangoing vessels (of at least 500gt) totalling over 150m gt under registration. It also boasts a global network of some 20 offices in different countries employing around 180 full-time staff, as well as having more than 400 inspectors/auditors at its disposal.
