The first voyage, to start on 9 October, is expected to offer faster transit times that will directly join India and Africa every week, according to CMA CGM.
The container line said the transit time between Mombasa and India will be within 14 days, Nacala in Mozambique to India within 13 days and Zanzibar in Tanzania to India within 18 days.
The Swahili service loop, deploying seven 2,800 teu boxships, will have a port rotation of Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Khor Fakkan, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar, Nacala, and back to Nhava Sheva.
