Indonesian minister slams Tanjung Priok port
Jakarta: Indonesia's finance minister Agus Martowardojo has been quoted as saying that shipments at Jakarta’s Tanjung Priok port spend too much time in transit and called on the operator to reorganize it.

Agus said currently the length of time cargo sits in a terminal’s in-transit storage area is an average of 6.7 days and “not ideal”. He called for the port's layout to be redesigned.

Part of the problem is that there are too many entities, with 21 in total, operating in the port and holding areas are spread out all over the port causing problems for customs and excise officers, he said.
