The three lines will start the cooperation on the existing three services in February and it will also involve slot share partners CMA CGM, Emirates Shipping Line, Hamburg Süd and Regional Container Lines.
“The multi-carrier cooperation will provide more frequent sailings between Asia’s major trading hubs and at the same time eliminate unnecessary service duplications between the carriers,” the lines said in a joint statement.
They said it would allow all three lines to offer three weekly services rather than one a week individually as they do at present.
The services will cover China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
