Delivery dates for the first of the five VLGCs will be at the end of 2015, while the remaining four units will be delivered between 2016 to early 2017.
Local reports said that TSM is paying more than $70m each for the latest pair of VLGCs while the previous three units cost below $70m apiece.
The report added that TSM has not fixed any charter arrangements for the new VLGCs. The company currently operates a fleet of 10 LPG carriers and four asphalt carriers.
