Triyards wins first ship repair job

Triyards wins first ship repair job
Triyards, a spin-off of Singapore-based Ezra Holdings, has won its first ship repair work for its newly commissioned floating dock at its yard facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The 1,554 dwt offshore supply vessel Mermaid Challenger is currently undergoing repair and maintenance works at the company's floating dock which was converted from a load out barge.

“Although Southeast Asia is a strong but competitive market for ship repair, we are confident of building a leading position in this area by focusing on repairs of offshore vessels,” said Wong Bheet Huan, ceo of Triyards.

Triyards, an offshore vessel fabrication and engineering solutions provider to the oil and gas industry, has delivered six self-elevating units (SEUs) since 2007 and has another two contracts currently in its orderbook.

In May, Singapore-listed Triyards launched a newly designer drilling jack-up rig, the TDU-400, making it one of only three Singapore yards able to design and build its own proprietary drilling jack-ups and SEUs.
