The photo (right) shows the car carrier on Monday evening with a list of 39 degrees compared to 52 degrees originally.
“The vessel will stay at Aplha Anchorage until the list has been reduced to around 15 degrees, some ship’s systems have been reinstated and weather conditions are suitable,” the UK’s Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) said.
However, the MCA said the long range weather forecast indicated that is was unlikely the vessel would be moved on Wednesday as had originally been hoped.
