CSSC wins 31 newbuilding contracts worth $1.3bn in Q1

China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) has inked 31 newbuilding orders with a total contract value of RMB9.4bn ($1.3bn) during the first quarter.

The 31 newbuilding orders include 98,000 c m LNG carrier and 80,000 c m LNG carrier contracts from Jiangnan Shipyard and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding; 307,000 dwt, 158,000 dwt and 114,000 dwt oil tanker contracts from Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Guangzhou International Shipbuilding. 

Among the 31 contracts, 25 of them are commercial ships, totaling in RMB7.33bn.

In the first quarter of this year, CSSC has delivered 33 vessels and offshore engineering products.
