CSSC hits annual newbuild order target in six months

China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s (CSSC) newbuilding order volume surged some 290% in the first half of 2021.

CSSC received orders for 232 vessels in H1, totaling in 18.39m dwt, meaning that the shipbuilding group has already achieved the annual order target for 2021.

In the first half, CSSC delivered 102 vessels, totaling in 9.172m dwt, accounting for 52.8% and 57.3% of the groups annual target, respectively. 

CSSC secured several batches of containerships order in the first half, as well as bulk carriers, oil tankers and gas carriers, and delivered multi-type of high-end vessels, which are independently designed and developed by the group.
