Houpu Clean Energy wins first international LNG carrier design

China’s clean energy industry player, Houpu Clean Energy has secured a design contract for two LNG carriers from an international client for the first time.

The two types of vessel, 1,500 cu m LNG carrier and 3,000 cu m LNG carrier, will be jointly designed by Houpu and CSSC Guangxi Beibu Gulf Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Design Company, will apply DNV’s specifications, featuring high efficiency and energy saving concepts. 

Signing of the contract is a significant move for the company to expand overseas market, a fully recognition from our clients for our techniques of LNG carrier, said Houpu. 

Having 15-years experience in LNG industry, Houpu is one of the pioneers in LNG carrier’s market, which could provide extensive services for LNG gas supply and LNG refilling.
