Yangzhou Ryuwa Shipbuilding bags order for six bulkers

Yangzhou Ryuwa Shipbuilding inked a contract with Hainan Chuangyuan Shipping for the construction of six bulk carriers.

The six dual-fuel,15,500 dwt river-sea bulk carriers, will be 142 metres length and 20.6 metres width. The first vessel is expected to started construction around the beginning of 2022 and to be delivered at the end of 2022. 

After delivery, the vessel will be able to directly sail from coastal areas and Yangtze river region to the inland port Wuhan.

Yangzhou Ryuwa Shipbuilding and Wuhan University of Technology had been collaborating on development and construction of LNG-fuel sea-river bulk carriers. In 2018, Yangzhou Ryuwa Shipbuilding delivered its first dual-fuel sea-river 13,900 dwt bulk carrier.
