Maspion Group president director Alim Markus said the development of the ports had begun. “By 2014, we will have 16 ports in total and in 2015, we will start operating our container ports,” Alim was quoted as saying.
He has previously complained that Indonesia lacks good infrastructure with all the country’s ports congested which was slowing down businesses in every sector.
The group currently has four ports in Gresik, East Java.
