MOL and RCL launch joint services in Asia
Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Regional Container Lines (RCL) have announced their collaboration on two Asian liner services.

The two companies will be working together to launch a new service, RBC4, operating between Qingtao, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, and Manila. Cooperation is to begin on 6 April, with RCL committing one vessel alongside two MOL vessels.

The new service will provide a direct service of four and five days between Bangkok and Laem Chabang to Manila, as well as direct connections between Qingtao, Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh.

Meanwhile, MOL will be joining RCL’s RTI service, which runs between Singapore, Jakarta and Laem Chabang, effective March 13. RCL will be phasing out its Yantra and Xetha Bhum to make way for its own vessel, 2,732 teu Sattha Bhum, as well as MOL’s vessel.
