Maersk 'in dialogue' with Iran courts over Maersk Tigris
Maersk Line says it is dialogue with the Iranian courts over the Maersk Tigris which was seized over a week ago.

In a brief statement issued on Tuesday Maersk said: “We are in dialogue with the Iranian courts. We will not at this point provide further details as to what this entails.”

The company added Rickmers Shipmanagement reported the crew of the Maersk Tigris remained safe and in good spirits.

The Maersk Tigris, chartered by Maersk, was detained the Iranian Navy last Tuesday over a 10-year old court case with Iran’s Pars Tala'eyeh Oil Products Co, which on appeal Maersk had been ordered to pay $3.6m in compensation.
