Maersk’s first phase logistics project in China's Meishan begins operation

The first phase project of Maersk’s international logistics facility in Meishan, Ningbo has officially commenced operation.

The project, with a total investment of RMB200m ($29m), is the first full automated warehouse project Maersk had invested in China. 

China is one of the most important markets for Maersk. As an integrated container shipping logistics service provider, Maersks Meishan international logistics hub will provide better customised solutions to our clients, said Wu Bingqing, president, greater China, Maersk.

Ningbo-Zhoushan port will further strengthen the cooperation with Maersk on shipping, port and logistics sectors, to make contributions to regional economy and logistics development, said Gong Liming, general manager of Ningbo-Zhoushan port.

The first phase project has full-automatic stereoscopic warehouse and general warehouse.

The second phase project, signed in 2019, will construct an international logistics distribution and delivery center.
